If you want to administer a survey without collecting any identifying information, or you want to be able to publish a link to the survey in a public space and allow respondents to take the survey multiple times, we recommend using a generic link.

Every project will have a generic link assigned to it once it has been built (either by you or by you Baseline Support Specialist). You can find the generic link under "Administration Methods" on your project's Project Dashboard.



Simply copy/paste the link that is displaying into your browser's search bar to access the live version of the survey. You can also email or post this link on websites for others to take the survey.

The link is completely anonymous, even to Campus Labs. If you would like the flexibility of posting a link publicly, while limiting the respondents to a single submission (or even limit the pool of respondents to a specific subset of people), you can request that our Support Team add a validation screen to your survey. Validation screens will also allow you to track the identities of your respondents by email or student ID. 

If you want to automatically track your respondents' email address, we recommend using the Mass Mailing tool to administer your survey.
